As the coal mine expands its boundaries

As the palm oil plantations grow ever more

And the sugar cane workers fear the law

Private military companies enforce the threat

That you will join the long list of dead

The indigenous peoples are under attack

From the militarized government that’s US backed



Oh Colombia you will make them rich

You got so many resources

Oh Colombia you are in the pits

A victim of the neo-colonialists



But all we hear on the news

Is you got some bad cocaine blues

Fighting the good fight is the government

And the paramilitaries that they sent

And they swell the ranks of the FARC

With every new village that they burn up

They misrepresent the truth in the news

It’s really the government that’s killing you



They are delivering the country to the multinationals

It’s called free trade but it’s more a free for all

On the indigenous territories that capitals come for
