Mother Zuraiha

Mother Zuraiha and son are washing the donkey husband sits inside drinking his tea

From the other side of the mountain they hear an airplane coming to see

Suddenly a terrible explosion house smashed to smithereens

They are all left for dead in the rubble they didn’t know what it all means

Zuraiha left holding her son as his brains fall out of his head

Her husband under the rubble her husband he is dead

Now a refugee in Kabul she is living in a tent

Made of nothing more than scraps of cloth she asks why was that airplane sent?

At night it’s minus 30 it’s not sure if she will survive

Every year thousands are killed by US and UK thousands no longer alive

Soldiers and civilians are dying but for what that’s what I’d like to know

Is it for a stable government? so the oil and gas can flow

And quietly Zuraiha is praying for her husband and her son

Quietly Zuraiha is saying would be better if I too were gone

Afghanistan: Another War for Oil and Gas

Well there’s oil and gas aplenty the last great reserves
In Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan that’s what I heard

Oil companies from the US got 75% of the rights

But the problem is they are landlocked countries far out of sight

How to transport this fuel juggernaut out to the ocean

Can’t go through Iran or China and the north is far too Russian

Just leaves Afghanistan and Pakistan down to the sea

A couple of compliant governments are all that they need

Build some bases out there for long term control

Now that the Soviet Union is gone they can be much more bold

It’s not so much about terrorism or democracy

Or women’s rights though that’d be a nice thing to see

It’s about strategic and profitable control

Of energy resources they’ll be needing down the road

The military is the iron fist that protects the invisible hand

It’s the mafia mobster that protects the bosses operation

A decade before 9/11 Time magazine

Reported that US policy elites were having a wet dream

About setting up a military presence in Central Asia

The newly available oil and gas well they just can’t ignore ya

So Unocal gets to build the pipeline

With the help of Cruise missiles Stealth bombers Tomahawks daisy cutters and land mines

And a lot of soldiers who died without any reason

Oil is not the future but to them that’s treason

The Afghanistan people they are thoroughly a dyin’

Far more than they report on TV and omission amounts to lying

And drone attacks on Pakistan in the boarder regions

Creating more terrorism because they are killing civilians

They keep telling me about extremists on the TV

But the insane hunger for oil justifies all the people we make bleed

Unmanned drones remote controlled from Nevada

You can kill and maim civilians and not end up like Douglas Bader

NASA’s chief scientist James Hansen says

There’s already too much CO2 in the air these days

The fossil fuels that are still in the ground

Must stay where they are so stop drilling down

All the money they spent on Iraq and Afghanistan

They could have put into solar power geothermal wind and hydrogen

We need an enema of the elites just flush them out

We need a new revolution without a doubt

Now as a post script I would like to add

The arctic is melting and the oil there can be grabbed

They are rushing to stake their territorial claims

Just like a heroin addict risking death to get a needle in his veins

They don’t see it as a warning just a new opportunity

To give global warming the added help that it needs

Stupid people run this world it cannot be denied

If you got some answers I will be on your side

America put the cunt in country

America put the cunt in country

With drone attacks and air strikes in the boarder regions

They are killing the bloody civilians

Then the survivors retaliate with another round of hate

Coming down to the low lands to get even

It’s a pointless loss of life making more enemies all the time

Bring hell upon your own people

With another load of aid billions from the US once again

The Military will do the bidding of the heathens

Twas just a small group of Muslims led by bin laden

They fled to the mountains to take cover

Now the war is out of hand and the devils upon the land

And Muslim brother fights Muslim brother

Why can’t they drop the SAS onto Bin Laden’s head?

Take him out like they take out so many others

They got satellites up there that can read a microdot on a hair

They got U2 spy planes that shoot over

They took out some top terrorists in Somalia a piece of piss

But bin laden seems to be a problem

Maybe it’s all about the pipelines Unocal and the sight lines

Get a good grip on the country

Lay those pipelines down on the blood drenched ground

Thank Karsai the Unocal consultant

The global economy will be saved more petro-chemicals in the veins

But with all those billions a green economy could have been resultant

Terror begets terror they always make the same error

But it ain’t the madmen in Washington a dying

They are terribly safe they make plans in the dying days

Of the children that are crying

They are denying al-Qaida safe haven in the theatre

Of war and collateral damage

Just take the fucker out how hard is that you louts?

When the ripper struck they didn’t sink Yorkshire in carnage

Here come the drones

Here come the drones

They are American drones

Made in America

Here come the drones

In Pakistan and the boarder regions

In the swat valley and the tribal areas

There is lurking our enemy

He is Osama Bin Laden

The dark unknown places

Of dark skinned people

Where unmanned airborne vehicles

Shoot missiles into this evil

Into civilian populations

Operated from the Nevada

Killing noncombatants

This is our terror

So easy to pull the trigger

So easy to push the button

And terror begets terror

And it happens so sudden

They are fighting terrorism

With every strike

Into wedding parties schools or homes

And that ain’t right

There was no terrorism in Pakistan

Until America arrived

Now there are hundreds of bombs a year

As the soldiers fight

These people are not Taliban

Or Al Qaeda

What gives us the right?

To cause such fear

Little children begging

On the street

Down from the mountains

On dirty feet

They are refugees

They are refugees

Their homes are demolished

And now they are refugees

Seems like they are using a sledge hammer

To crack a nut

Where the hell is Bin Laden?

He’s the one they want

But Bin Laden is only of secondary importance

To Caspian oil and gas

And stable transport routes

Through Afghanistan

He is the fig leaf

He is the WMD they need

To have troops and bases

And long term stability

For Unocal and the pipeline

And the oil and the gas

Goes down to the sea

Down To new deli

To Pakistan from Turkmenistan

With 1/5th of the worlds oil

And plenty of gas

It’s a vital back up

When the Persian Gulf goes crash

Better to use heat pumps

And solar power

That’s a one time cost

And you don’t get charged by the hour

They have killed so many million people

Since the end of the Second World War

How many more millions are they going to kill?

Till they get bored

But here come the drones

They are American drones

Made in America

Oh Colombia

Well in Colombia they tend to kill

Unionists at will

2.500 dead in the last 15 years

Don’t cause trouble or you are out of here

If Chiquita wants you dead

They’ll find some place for you to lay your head

Pay out millions for paramilitaries

20 years of slaughter to those capitalist deities

Displace those communities

As the coal mine expands its boundaries

As the palm oil plantations grow ever more

And the sugar cane workers fear the law

Private military companies enforce the threat

That you will join the long list of dead

The indigenous peoples are under attack

From the militarized government that’s US backed

Oh Colombia you will make them rich

You got so many resources

Oh Colombia you are in the pits

A victim of the neo-colonialists

But all we hear on the news

Is you got some bad cocaine blues

Fighting the good fight is the government

And the paramilitaries that they sent

And they swell the ranks of the FARC

With every new village that they burn up

They misrepresent the truth in the news

It’s really the government that’s killing you

They are delivering the country to the multinationals

It’s called free trade but it’s more a free for all

4 million internally displaced in an all out war

On the indigenous territories that capitals come for

Hundreds of villages burnt to the ground

The conquistadors never left town

The army is funded by America to facilitate

This free market capital escapade

Red black yellow white and brown

Red black yellow white and brown

24 trillion dollars in mineral wealth

Under the Congo under the earth

The richest country in the world

For resources that they can sell

Its no coincidence that this God forsaken land

Has long been decimated by the white man

Coveted since the late 19th century

By Britain and America’s murderous greed

Red black yellow white and brown

The international community will never let you down

Through Ugandan President Museveni

British intelligence was active says Boutros Ghali

Its all under hand connections fail to be made

In the press releases of the news brigade

Systematically looted by the international community

The same paragons of virtue in whom we are supposed to believe

You think that Iraq is bad

Take a look over your shoulder at the black Bagdad

Red black yellow white and brown

The international community will never let you down

With furrowed brow we remember the dead

And hope it will never happen again

The holocaust of gypsies Jews and the mentally ill

Swept to the chambers and there to kill

I’d write you a letter I’d send you a song

About what’s been going on

There ain’t no chambers there ain’t no gas

But I smell a holocaust that ain’t safely in the past

Red black yellow white and brown

The international community will put you under the ground

Morality has never been taken seriously

In the whole history of humanity

Principles are just a luxury

For people that haven’t been tested by necessity

You fight or die you live and learn

You finally find you got nowhere to turn

In the fiery furnace of evolution

You can be a monkey or have everything

The civilized world

We got your resources we got your land

We got your government by the hand

We got your lives by the throat

We are the democracies we all vote

We are thoroughly civilized

We are developed behind the eyes

We are technological gods

We are here to murder and rob

We are the civilized world

We democratized ourselves

We are the advanced economies

We lift ourselves up and keep you on your knees

We are good capitalists

But we do like the subsidies

We couldn’t mine without government help

We couldn’t do nothing by ourselves

We can’t be sued when the rivers are dead

We can’t be brought to book when nothing is left

We will force you off your land

We will pay no taxes to the man

We are the civilized world

We democratized ourselves

We will appoint politicians to the board

They are very handy when we’re abroad

It’s a war of the north upon the south

That about sums up what it’s all about

We are funded by your pension fund

Its little old ladies holding the gun

Burning the villages of the Colombian

And the Guatemalan

We are the civilized world

We democratized ourselves

We are the advanced economies

We lift ourselves up and keep you on your knees

We speak in neo-colonialese

Of development aid and investment opportunities

They paid off the debt about 5 times

But still it’s growing all the time

More money comes out than goes in

Its not charity that they’re needing

Just pay for what we take

Pay a good price and it’ll all be great

We are the civilized world

We democratized ourselves

We are the advanced economies

But the mind don’t know what the eye don’t see
